Looking for an energetic people person to help grow Wallwork Truck Center in Grand Forks in a Service Advisor position! Monday - Friday / 8am-5pm. Pay: $60,000-$80,000/year


JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Service Advisor is to interact directly with customers and technicians to effectively communicate all changes and repairs that are needed. Responsibilities will include a variety of customer service and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the dealerships parts department.

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)

Education and/or years’ experience required:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum two years mechanical/service experience.

  • An acceptable driving record
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to direct and mentor employees
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Must be capable of working under pressure, work independently, and have the ability to handle stressful situations that may arise.

Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):

  • No supervisory responsibilities required with this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Assist the Service department in greeting customers, selling service labor, writing repair orders and estimate the costs of repairs within set guidelines.
  • Work with the Service department in managing the Technicians and the scheduling of repairs to maximize work efficiency and quality of work performed.
  • Check and review work in process and follow-up for completion as scheduled and exceed the customer’s expectations.
  • Inspect upon completion of work to insure quality of repairs performed.
  • Schedule appointments using dealership's approved forms or systems.
  • Promptly meet and greet service customers in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Listen to customer’s reason for bringing their truck to the service department.
  • Offer a logical diagnostic service or repair to satisfy the customers concerns.
  • Check for all recalls and TIB’s on both engine and chassis side using SIR and engine manufacture system.
  • Provide accurate estimate for labor and parts.
  • Ensure mechanical repairs on customers’ trucks performed as required to meet customers' needs.
  • If additional work is needed, explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time considerations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending meetings; educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Duties consist of non-manual or office work directly related to management policies or general business operations.
  • Handle parts requirements of customers through counter service and sales.
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Verify receiving shipments by checking order against packing list.
  • Assist in keeping parts are clean and shelf section area stocked and orderly.
  • Follow-up on shortages and expedite through reporting to parts manager.
  • Supply service technicians with parts ordered through parts requisition forms.
  • Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
  • Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.
  • Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
