Position Summary... What you'll do... About the Team Project Archer team is transforming the face of retail by leveraging Immersive Augmented Reality. Our goal is to enhance each trip to the physical stores into a convenient, delightful and fun experience through immersive UX. We’re looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and passionate to lead our Product team in this world-leading effort. About the Role We are looking for a Director of Product Management, that will lead our product teams and be a champion in building immersive shopping experiences for our Walmart customers through Augmented Reality and AI. This leader will report directly to our GM and along with your team will be at the center of our efforts to bring these innovative experiences to Walmart’s customers. We are looking for a accomplished leader who has experience in Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence for creating the best customer experiences. You must demonstrate ability to function in a mature startup environment where there are still many unknowns, and view any ambiguities as challenges to be come. In this role you will be responsible to drive product strategy, be a champion of our customer, and build and lead our product team. He/she should be able to deeply understand the business and the customer, implications for our future technology and experiential needs, and seamlessly translate into a plan for our engineering team. It is important that they can clearly communicate, drive influence, and be able to break down technical problems. What You’ll Do Define strategic definition and direction of product vision for our AR experience. This includes partnering with Engineering and cross functional leaders to understand needs and align roadmap, prioritization decisions, and insights into what is being worked on and why. Leverage qualitative (customer insights) and quantitative data to drive define our product’s scenarios and goals to be in alignment with overall business. Seamlessly move from customer experience interactions to technology selection and feel comfortable doing both. Ensure success of product teams by driving recruiting, deep diving problems as needed while providing thoughtful guidance, mentorship, and coaching Communicate with leadership and cross-functional teams regularly regarding project progress and schedule reviews around key milestones Facilitate an agile and collaborative process with multiple teams - product, Design/UX, and engineering. Responsible to build and develop our strategic partnerships with AR industry leaders. Navigate the day-to-day challenges of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team in an emerging space, while simultaneous balancing the communication needs, stakeholder management, timelines, and financial goals of a Fortune One company Act as internal ambassador for our AR experiences, creating awareness and excitement around these emerging platforms and the customer value they drive Embody Walmart values and behaviors in all that you do What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree. Advanced graduate degree a plus 5 years' experience working in a product management role; as well as relevant experience in AR/VR, GAMING, OR 3D GRAPHICS Experience in managing cross-functional technology products, projects, or programs Define product strategy for the entire product line and platform. Translate product strategy into roadmaps for the product and engineering teams Technical fluency; comfort discussing or diving deep on technology concepts, schedule trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members; understanding of the entire technology stack as well as ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps, and keep the big picture in view Experience in all phases of product development with an emphasis on 0 to 1 and success at scaling product Excellent quantitative skills: demonstrated ability to combine data-driven analytical rigor with strategic thinking to drive insights Superb communication of concepts and ideas to stakeholders, as well as the ability to influence strategic decisions, at all levels including C-level executives Success in an entrepreneurial environment and ability to manage and execute multiple priorities at a fast-paced company while operating independently with minimal supervision Know how to inspire, motivate and support a team to get things done Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based incentive awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet. The annual salary range for this position is $192,000.00-$288,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
