Maintains area of responsibility in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise/supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment. Prepares and processes defective or damaged food merchandise by returning or destroying merchandise, tracking claims to ensure proper credit is received by facility, communicating with suppliers, and filing reports. Receives and stocks merchandise throughout the facility and organizes the backroom by following company safety, cleaning, and operating procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, setting up displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
Enters and locates information on computer. Moves up and down a ladder. Creates documents, reports, etc., using a writing instrument (such as a pencil or pen) or computer. Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Reads information, often in small print. Visually locates merchandise and other objects. Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
