What you'll do...

We are seeking a highly accomplished and forward-thinking Sr Distinguished Software Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Sr Distinguished Software Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our software engineering efforts, focusing on scalable distributed systems, data processing, machine learning, and generative AI. Your expertise will be critical in guiding our organization's technical strategy, ensuring the robustness, scalability, and innovation of our software engine.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Architectural Leadership:** - Lead the architectural vision and strategy for our software engine, ensuring alignment with business goals and future technology trends. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

2. **Scalable Distributed Systems:** - Design and oversee the development of scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems that can handle high volumes of data and traffic. - Ensure the reliability and performance of the software engine through architectural decisions, such as microservices, containerization, and orchestration.

3. **Data Processing:** - Define data processing pipelines and frameworks to efficiently ingest, transform, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources. - Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms, including databases, caching, and data warehousing solutions.

4. **Machine Learning:** - Drive the integration of machine learning techniques and models into the software engine to enhance functionality, personalization, and decision-making. - Collaborate with data scientists to define ML architecture, model deployment, and continuous improvement processes.

5. **Generative AI:** - Champion the development and deployment of generative AI models to create innovative content, such as natural language text, images, or audio. - Ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies, including fairness, bias mitigation, and transparency.

6. **Technical Leadership:** - Mentor and coach engineering teams, providing guidance on best practices, code quality, and architectural patterns. - Promote a culture of innovation, research, and experimentation within the engineering organization.

7. **Documentation and Communication:** - Document architectural decisions, design patterns, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding. - Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and clients.

Qualifications: - A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, with a strong academic record. A Ph.D. is a plus.

- Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable distributed systems, data processing pipelines, machine learning solutions, and generative AI applications.

- Extensive experience in software architecture, with a track record of leading successful architectural initiatives.

- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, with a deep understanding of software engineering principles.

- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.

- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor technical teams.

- A commitment to staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

The annual salary range for this position is $208,000.00-$416,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives
