Commercial Maintenance Technician - Now Hiring

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for immediate hire for the 600,000 sq ft Bakery Square commercial campus located in the East End of Pgh.

The applicant must possess at least one years of hands-on experience and/or training on a variety of systems used in commercial office buildings involving general knowledge of types of HVAC systems, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air systems, and energy management systems.

Basic job description:

• Regularly perform daily adjustments and repairs necessary to maintain optimal operations while working closely with Building Systems Technician.

• Also required to perform general maintenance repairs such as: filter replacement, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, light bulb/tube and ballast replacement and other related building repairs or maintenance as needed.

• Be able to communicate positively, effectively and efficiently with tenants in a manner that gives a positive image of the property and instills confidence in building management

• Be able to respond as necessary to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis during assigned on call rotation.

• Other duties as needed assigned by Property Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year experience in commercial building maintenance

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Must possess a team oriented – winning attitude

• Have and maintain a Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

• Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screen.

• 24/7 ability to respond to building emergencies during on call rotation

• Understanding of general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical etc. Finishing work and painting is a plus.

Required education:

• High school or equivalent

• Auditory: hear voices in both small and large group environments; hear alerts from office automation and building systems.

• Mental demands: Logic, analysis, judgment, discretion, memory, ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Environment: Working with mechanical and electrical equipment both indoors and outdoors. Frequent exposure to hot, cold, wet and noisy conditions.
