Walnut Street Center, Inc. is nonprofit, Human Services agency providing support to Adults with Developmental & Intellectual Disabilities. We are currently seeking a Assistant Director of Residential Services to join our growing team.
Summary:
The Assistant Director of Residential Services will oversee all aspects of multiple Residential Services Program. This person will ensure Individuals receive quality support services to aid them in achieving their full potential, while keeping with the Agency’s mission and philosophy.
Essential Duties:
- Ensures that the department staff is meeting the health and safety needs of all individuals.
- Ensures timely submissions of financial documents and reporting for assigned programs.
- Ensures that the department is achieving goals set by Q.U.E.S.T., the Department of Developmental Services, department goals and objectives and by the Agency’s mission statement and strategic plan.
- Serves as a liaison between the Department of Developmental Services, family members, guardians and other stakeholders.
- Works collaboratively with the Clinical team and Residential Director to ensure the health and well-being of all individuals.
- Oversees the implementation of Personnel Policies for the department.
- Monitors the timely and accurate response to all required reporting authorities.
- Provides supervision to Residential Program Managers and other staff as assigned.
- Provides on-call emergency through the use of a pager or cell phone.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Human Services / IDD Supervisory role
- Experience in multi-site management
- Experience in a Human Services
- Familiarity with Department of Developmental Services regulations and Survey and Certification requirements or other and accreditation procedures preferred.
- Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels within the organization.
- Highly accountable for the results and outcomes of their responsibilities and understands the impact of their efforts, results, and attitudes on others.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- DDS funded program: 2 years (Preferred)
- IDD population: 2 years (Preferred)
- Multi-site management: 2 years (Preferred)
- Supervising: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
Willingness to travel:
- 50% (Preferred)
