Job Posting for Show Choir Director at Walsh Jesuit High School
Walsh Jesuit High School seeks an experienced Director to lead its Show Choir beginning with the 2023/2024 school year. Primary responsibilities include providing Ignatian leadership and oversight to the Show Choir including selecting age-appropriate shows that involve the entire group, and teaching/training the choir a show that involves singing and dancing while meeting the competitive requirements. Other responsibilities include maintaining communication with school staff and parents, and facilitating travel to off-campus competitions,
The ideal candidate will possess a college degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Other requirements include prior show choir experience, including knowledge of the technical aspects of a competitive show choir group and will embrace and display Catholic/Christian values and spiritual life. Positive communication strategies, organizational skills, and safety awareness are also key requirements. Experience in a Catholic learning environment is preferred.
