Job Summary:
As a Foreman, Maintenance, you will assist the supervisor in directing maintenance personnel. You will also coordinate maintenance of plant equipment and serve as a technical support person.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate repair work with the various department supervisors.
- Reports incorrect machinery operation and breakdowns to the maintenance supervisor.
- Check work quality of the maintenance personnel.
- Performs work in a manner to protect the health and safety of employees by following all safety procedures such as PPE, Ergonomics, and Chemical Hazards.
- Assists with repair and problem solving.
- Prepares daily work schedule and assigns work to maintenance personnel.
- Reviews maintenance repair request forms with maintenance supervisor to assign priorities of work.
- Provide on-the-job training and implement training for maintenance personnel (develop training materials as needed) for lock-out/tag-out, MSDS, forklift, machine operation, etc.
- Monitor safety practices of the maintenance personnel such as PPE, Ergonomics, and Chemical Hazards.
- Monitor parts inventory and reports needs to maintenance supervisor.
- Prepares evaluations of maintenance personnel.
- Assist maintenance supervisor in the hiring of new maintenance personnel.
- Assume supervisory duties in the absence of the maintenance supervisor.
- Train new maintenance department personnel.
- Other duties as directed.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma and five years’ experience in a maintenance role with progressively increasing responsibilities.
