Walton's sheet metal fabrication shop is gearing up for a busy 2022! Are you interested in working within a manufacturing facility for a company that values its employees? Walton's Sheet Metal Shop Laborer will assist with a variety of task associated with the fabrication of sheet metal duct work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Trim, file, grind, deburr and buff metal surfaces
Assemble duct work using air power driven tools
Wrap duct for shipment
Load ductwork onto trucks
Maintain a clean, safe shop work area
May assist with weld area tasks - hammering, chipping, and grinding workpieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Reliable transportation
Sheet metal shop experience helpful, we are willing to train
Good listening skills, willing to ask questions
Possess basic math skills
Able to use hand and power tools properly and safely
Demonstrates a willingness to learn
Possess a positive, good-natured attitude. Must be able and willing to do what it takes to safely get the job done
