What you will do
You will be responsible for providing a broad range of substantive legal support to the legal team in an environment where superior client service is emphasized, including by supporting attorneys, conducting research, preparing documentation, creating and maintaining document management systems, and performing other duties necessary to support the legal needs for WEI.
Responsibilities
- Provide broad support to the legal team by interfacing with internal clients and often serving as the client point of contact; managing legal files; maintaining templates and sample/model forms; helping implement processes and policies.
- Understand, draft, revise, and prepare all kinds of legal documents, including regulatory filings, reports, bylaws, correspondence, contracts, charters, grant agreements, and other general corporate and nonprofit documents.
- Conduct research and analysis about legal, regulatory, statutory, and business-related topics, and prepare memoranda, summaries, and presentations regarding the same.
- Oversee the organization, maintenance, accessibility, retrieval, and retention of hard copy and digital corporate governance files.
- Manage corporate records database by ensuring data accuracy and completeness, making database design revisions as needed, creating/running standard and ad hoc database reports, and running audits.
- Create and maintain entity organization charts.
- Coordinate with internal team members and outside parties; providing status updates on legal processes and matters; assisting in the prioritization of various tasks within different legal processes; ensuring that attorneys are aware of pending deadlines; and assisting with budgeting, time, and invoice review.
- Other matters and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.
Who we are looking for
Qualifications required for your success
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Five (5) years of total professional work experience (or equivalent educational experience) in the legal field required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and record management databases
- Demonstrated proficiency in accuracy, acute attention to detail, and follow-through on assigned tasks
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to manage confidential information with discretion
Additional Helpful Experience Includes
- Juris Doctorate degree preferred
- Ten (10) or more years of total work experience preferred, including corporate paralegal or other relevant in-house legal, compliance, or records maintenance experience
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with internal and external contacts at all levels
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with limited oversight from manager
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker who anticipates future issues and opportunities, recommending innovative and practical solutions to complicated and varied problems
- Compliance and regulatory/financial reporting experience

Salary : $87,500 - $111,000
