Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Laser Tracker Operator to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager
- Ensure that manufactured and purchased parts conform to engineering specifications and drawings using a Laser Tracker or CMM.
- Mark up manufactured parts for finish machining operations as required by the manufacturing routing.
- Implement subassembly personnel with inspection data when adjustments are necessary to meet final accuracy requirements.
- Verify that subassemblies meet accuracy requirements specified by engineering specifications and drawings.
- Design inspection reports based on gathered data and process Defective Work Tickets.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience operating a Laser Tracker (API/Verisurf).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with customers, peers, and subordinates.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed, with adaptability to fluctuating workloads.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating a CMM machine.
- Familiarity with fixtures.
- Quality experience is preferred.
- Background in aerospace, automotive, or defense is a plus.
- Knowledge of Taurus CMM.
- White Light Scanning experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with PC-DMIS, EZ-DMIS, or SPUD software.
