As a member of WanderJaunt’s purchasing team, the Buyer Assistant plays a vital role in the day to day operations of our company.  You will interact with colleagues and stakeholders across the company, while helping to drive productivity and efficiency in our purchasing processes as we grow.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Creates purchase orders from requisitions
  • Assists buyers by obtaining product or service information from vendors, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Data entry and application documentation
  • Partners with accounting to ensure all invoices/receipts are provided promptly
  • Runs reports to help determine inventory needs
  • Issues purchase orders to suppliers and confirm delivery date, quantity ordered and price are correct
  • Assists Buyers in maintaining procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods/services with receivers or warehouse control personnel in our local markets
  • Serve as local markets’ central POC for basic purchasing & item/item knowledge inquiries 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of administrative or purchasing experience 
  • A detail-oriented self-starter who is able to excel with minimal supervision
  • Very strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Very proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets 

Important criteria:

  • Must be willing to submit to a Criminal Background Check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
