About the Role:

Looking for an entry-level design position? WanderJaunt is a dynamic hospitality/tech start-up and we're looking for you! Work alongside our design and installation professionals, learning while you become a key member of our team. We need an independent, well-organized, detail-oriented individual. Student in interior design, design technology, construction management, or architecture preferred. You'll be our eyes on the ground. As the field assistant, your primary tasks will be to measure, photograph, and draw plans in AutoCad. You’ll assess the field conditions you find. You will work with the installation crew to iron out staging details as needed. Your day may include placing artwork, shopping for last-minute purchases, or prepping the finished properties for photographs. This position has the potential for growth within the company as a member of our design team. There is some flexibility with hours.
Details:
- Full-time position.
- Coordinate with Phoenix-based design team.
- Current student or graduate working towards BS / MA / MFA in design, architecture, design technology or design management..
- AutoCAD literate. Capable of producing floor plans quickly.
- Comfortable with a camera, uploading and synching within multiple platforms.
- Thrives on being organized; comfortable multitasking, being part of a collaborative team, and completing time-sensitive tasks.
- Experience with art-making, furniture installation, construction, furniture building, or design is a plus.
- Enjoys solving problems, being proactive, and growing with a quickly growing start-up.
