TITLE: Office Assistant
POSITION: Part-time, hourly
Join one of Central Oregon’s quintessential outdoor adventure companies as our Office Assistant. This is a key role on our team that serves as the “face of Wanderlust”. This position works 16-20hrs/ week. We are looking to have someone join our team by end of May-beginning of June.
MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- Manage our tour reservations, on both the people and process side.
- Create excitement for our trips by explaining tour options to potential guests.
- Take incoming bookings from individuals and families over the phone, which consist of 40% of our bookings.
- You are THE Flybook system expert; monitor new reservations made online, update tour offerings, and create and monitor reports
- Help our Office Manager to manage our office, which is open to the public and a hub for our guests:
- Collaborate on merchandise purchasing and sales to the public, tracking and reporting on sales.
- Help to plan staff events and outings.
- Ensure the office upholds company presentation standard
- Wanderlust Tours is a compact, nimble organization with an “all hands on deck” work team. This role will work entirely in our Bend storefront.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in customer service and/or administrative roles.
- Love and knowledge of the outdoors.
- Top notch customer facing skills on the phone and in person. This is a role that will rely on you to be interacting with customers daily.
- Is organized and dependable, with excellent & respectful written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and pride in getting work done correctly.
- Must be able to prioritize and effectively manage several projects concurrently.
- Can effectively work in the following programs and platforms: Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar; Microsoft Word/Excel, Reservation platform
- Professional demeanor and appearance with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
