Overview:
Looking to grow your skills and take a career step?  Wangard Partners is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join the team as a Land Development / Construction Intern.  This part-time position will work with the VP of Planning & Predevelopment as well as the rest of the construction and development team. Essential Duties:
Assist in all phases of the development process from site selection, due diligence, planning, design, entitlement, and construction of projects as requested by supervisor.
  • Assist in market data collection from competitive lease rates, recent comparable sales, occupancies, rent growth, etc.
  • Document market dynamics by staying current on construction news, employment expansions, major capital projects, etc.
  • Participates in the initial site design and review process, and collects background data.
  • Assist in development of RFP’s. Maintains files containing Seller supplied information or Wangard acquired due diligence. 
  • Attends project meetings, reviews consultant exhibits and updates appropriate personnel.

  • Responsive team player with the ability to quickly prioritize tasks.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Experience in AutoCAD preferred, desire to expand skillset.  
Physical Demands
Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.  The employee will be regularly required to sit; stand; walk; reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands; talk and hear.  Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work as needed.  Wangard Partners is compliant with ADA.

Attendance/Travel
This position is a part-time hourly position and will work approximately 20 hours a week. This position also requires regular attendance and reliability.
