About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Civil Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for directing, planning, and managing construction activities to ensure project completion within assigned schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all construction activities, specific to assigned discipline, on assigned projects
- Construct the project and work with the management team to maximize profit
- Monitor and oversee construction activities and personnel within delivery timelines
- Keep Construction Manager II/III informed of overall construction activity progress and performance
- Cooperate with all matters relating to health and safety
- Act as a role model for the Company's vision and values
- Promote equality in the workplace
- Take necessary care to protect corporate information
- Build, supervise, and lead teams
- Communicate effectively with crew leads on goals and expectations
- Ensure Foremen manage crews and subcontractors to provide a safe work environment
- Manage the construction package elements of the procurement process
- Monitor contract performance against project milestones, budget, and other established metrics
- Care for and sustain business relationships with multiple clients
- Work with the CM III to ensure Client expectations are being met
- Ensure all work in assigned discipline is done to MasTec Safety and Quality standards
- Be proactive in equipment management
- Complete personnel administrative tasks in a timely manner
- Work closely with the Field Operations team on resource management
- Support Business Development, Estimating, and Preconstruction efforts as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Three years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, or governmental regulations
- Write reports, business correspondence, and document project activities
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers, and the general public
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
