Solar Construction Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Civil Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for directing, planning, and managing construction activities to ensure project completion within assigned schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all construction activities, specific to assigned discipline, on assigned projects
• Construct the project and work with the management team to maximize profit
• Monitor and oversee construction activities and personnel within delivery timelines
• Keep Construction Manager II/III informed of overall construction activity progress and performance
• Cooperate with all matters relating to health and safety
• Act as a role model for the Company's vision and values
• Promote equality in the workplace
• Take necessary care to protect corporate information
• Build, supervise, and lead teams
• Communicate effectively with crew leads on goals and expectations
• Ensure Foremen manage crews and subcontractors to provide a safe work environment
• Manage the construction package elements of the procurement process
• Monitor contract performance against project milestones, budget, and other established metrics
• Care for and sustain business relationships with multiple clients
• Work with the CM III to ensure Client expectations are being met
• Ensure all work in assigned discipline is done to MasTec Safety and Quality standards
• Be proactive in equipment management
• Complete personnel administrative tasks in a timely manner
• Work closely with the Field Operations team on resource management
• Support Business Development, Estimating, and Preconstruction efforts as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Three years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, or governmental regulations
• Write reports, business correspondence, and document project activities
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers, and the general public
• Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
