Warehouse Services, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Technicians for its facilities in Greenville and Piedmont. Under the appropriate supervision with latitude for independent judgment, the maintenance apprentice performs preventative maintenance and equipment repairs to ensure the safe operation of mobile equipment. Implements, coordinates and assists in the application of procedures pertaining to general maintenance. Duties may require manual, clerical and data entry skills.

Under the appropriate supervision with latitude for independent judgment, the maintenance technician performs preventative maintenance and equipment repairs to insure the safe operation of mobile equipment. Implements, coordinates and assists in the application of procedures pertaining to general maintenance. Duties may require manual, clerical and data entry skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all forklift equipment is operating properly and safely.
- Operates all material handling equipment required.
- Ensure maintenance tasks throughout the facilities are being completed according to schedule.
- Responsible for the inspection and repair of doors, dock plates, racking and additional equipment.
- Responsible for inspecting building and grounds and performing general building maintenance including dock levelers, racking, HVAC and lighting.
- Maintains forklift and building maintenance operational history by initiating and updating records.
- Perform building and equipment audits
- Coordinate and track preventative maintenance
- Initiate and schedule repairs
- Perform repairs on equipment
- Maintains safe work environment.
- Monitor and maintain battery maintenance.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Operates all material handling equipment required.
- Maintaining site landscaping.
- Maintaining lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf and irrigation.
- Fertilizing lawn, trees, flowers and shrubs, and spreading mulch.
- Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs, and preventing and eliminating weeds.
- Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as hedge trimmers, saws and shovels efficiently.
- Any other duties assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with various types of Material Handling equipment including Forklifts, Order pickers, Clamp trucks
- Building Maintenance experience including Lighting, HVAC, Dock doors, dock levelers
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Computer experience
- Technical courses and training a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in using manual and power tools safely.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Available to work overtime.
- Physically agile and dexterous.
