Summary
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Accounting Manager is responsible for preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and supervision of general ledger, accounts payable and imaging staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
• Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of WarHorse Gaming, LLC.• Reviews all general ledger accounts; balances and reconciles the general ledger monthly.• Prepares financial statements and related budget reports.• Prepares or reviews all accounts payable reports.• Summarizes and records all capital assets and calculates depreciation.• Manages records retention in compliance with regulatory requirements• Supervises, reviews, evaluates, and schedules work for assigned staff.• Engages in critical and confidential aspects of accounting.• Develops and/or revises policies, systems, special financial studies, etc. of major importance as needed or assigned.• Advises management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization.• Ensures compliance with the financial procedures of the Casino.• Performs analytical reviews of operations, self-initiated and as directed.• Assists other accounting personnel as job duties are completed, or in the case of absences. • Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and counseling and other personnel related matters are being handled appropriately.• Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:A satisfactory combination of applicable experience and education may be considered in lieu of experience requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance or related field.• Five (5) years’ progressive accounting supervisory experience demonstrating substantial accounting principles and practices.• Prior gaming industry experience preferred.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; and automated financial systems.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.WORK HOURS: This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening, weekend and holiday hours required, based on business need.
