GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Concept Design Studio is the full-service in-house partner for all things creative within Marketing’s Global Brand & Creative, DTC, at Warner Bros. Discovery. Our work spans five teams and encompasses brand identity, campaigns, toolkits, key art, OOH, motion graphics, and print and digital design. Together, we create and translate the brand for any medium to best serve our stories.

We are seeking a talented Art Director who is passionate about design with a focus digital platform creative design. As part of the Content Creative, the AD will be immersed in an engaging, fast-paced environment with opportunities to create original and innovative designs that stay true to our shows. The AD must have strong communication skills, managerial skills, attend business partner meetings, and collaborate within the team and across departments. Above all, they are confident in their instincts, experimental with their work, and receive constructive criticism and feedback effectively. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience managing a small team of more than one designer varying team (local and remote)
  • Hands-on leader, creating various layouts and comps to final key art (digital)
  • Assures design deadlines are met
  • Execute final designs—adjusting style, images, branding—as well as presentation decks
  • Participate in briefing and ideation phase to develop compelling key art that’s on-brand
  • Brief designers on specific key art projects and, working with Creative Directors, provide constructive feedback
  • Work on single IP in all areas of static-content creative—key art development and finishing, digital, marketing decks, and in-situ delivery
  • Have a strong understanding of grid use, typography, and hierarchy of information
  • Outside-the-box thinker for creative solutions
  • Support the Creative Director
  • Train junior design staff on new technology, new software knowledge
  • Be accountable in every area: adherence to project timelines, account team support and service, and collaboration among all team members
  • Take initiative and prioritize tasks; have excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Take direction from the SVP, VP, Senior Art Directors, and all assigned stakeholders while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Participate in the creative/direction process with the SVP, VP, Senior Art Director, and Copywriters
  • Gain understanding of business partners’ strategies and objectives
  • Stay abreast of current technology and design trends in the visual communication industry

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in graphic design with 5 years’ design or agency experience
  • Strong visual design skills and portfolio
  • Proficient in latest Mac software: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and additional relevant programs
  • Top-notch portfolio with a track record of carrying out world-class entertainment campaigns
  • Ability to successfully manage time, workflow, and schedule
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills
  • Self-starter with the passion, ability, and energy to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear understanding of meeting project deadlines
  • Entertainment industry experience a plus

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
