Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Transplanter to join our team. As a Plant Transplanter, you will be responsible for transplanting various plants and ensuring their proper growth and development. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a passion for horticulture.
First wave starts the 2nd week in April and runs about 6-7 weeks. Shifts are 3 hrs. You pick the days(s) and number of shifts you want to cover. Start by transplanting from small cell trays into larger pots.
The second wave involves transplanting from larger pots into the ground. Transplant from May thru July. Work primarily at Saint Paul’s School in Concord.
Duties:
- Transplant seedlings and young plants into designated areas
- Follow planting instructions and guidelines to ensure proper spacing and arrangement
- Provide necessary care, such as watering, fertilizing, and pruning
- Identify and address any pest or disease issues promptly
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Collaborate with team members to achieve planting goals
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate planting and spacing
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in various weather conditions
- Experience with plant care and knowledge of different types of plants helps, but is not necessary
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet planting deadlines
- Previous experience in landscaping or horticulture is a plus
