The Fluids Lab Assistant Tech carries out the daily activities of the fluids lab as directed by the Fluids Lab Manager. Contribute to a well-organized work group striving to deliver unparalleled results through optimizing instrument operation, instrument productivity, and instrument maintenance and repairs. Maintains a clean and customer friendly facility while adhering to all company, local and state regulations that may apply.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Collect/Sort daily fluid sample shipments.
• Prepare samples and sample racks for daily processing.
• Analyze oil, coolant & fuel samples as directed and supervised by senior lab technicians.
• Monitor supply inventory levels and refill as necessary.
• Assist with manual testing performed in the lab.
• Assist in the disposal of fluids and or supplies upon test completion.
• Assist in the mailing and distribution of sample report results.
• Clean and organize the lab daily
• Complete required safety and technical training required to perform this role.
• Complete all other task assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic computer experience and be competent in Microsoft Office applications.
