Role and Responsibilities

· Provide basic and/or advanced life support treatment to patients activate through 911.

· Provide general upkeep and cleaning of the facilities and grounds as required by management

· Provide general upkeep and cleaning of all vehicles as required by management

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Must be certified at a minimum as a Virginia Emergency Medical Technician

· Successfully completed an Emergency Vehicle Operations Class

· Successfully completed a course in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS)

· Successfully passed a criminal background check per Virginia OEMS requirements

· Successfully passed a drug screen per VAOEMS requirements and WCLSC Policy

Preferred Skills

· Be able to successfully follow and administer all protocols WCLSC performs to include extra protocols and responsibilities as allocated by the Operational Medical Director and VAOEMS

· Be able to safely maneuver a stretcher with a minimum of 250 pound patient (with assistance of partner)

· Be able to carry a minimum of 50 pound piece of equipment for 75 yards

· Be able to safely maneuver an ambulance under normal and emergency conditions

Summary Washington County Life Saving Crew is looking for positive and professional applicants to fulfill 24 hour paid shifts at their station. The positions offer competitive salaries as well as competitive benefits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
