The Opportunity!
The Senior Network Analyst administers Local Area Network System (LANS), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) and Wide Area Networks (WANS) including hardware, software, and security. This position manages virtual systems, hosts, and County hardware; may be responsible for leading support of voice technical solutions to meet the needs of County businesses and experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools.
The Senior Network Analyst supports and maintains network and Voice over IP (VoIP) connectivity for the delivery of software, telecommunications, and other related applications. This position assesses and debugs servers and addresses network and application performance issues. On occasion collaboration with other network teams to ensure integration and system integrity of VoIP systems is needed. This position administers electronic communications systems and recommends process improvement and procedures consistent with industry best practices and County policy. The Senior Network Analyst assists in planning and implementing the network systems and resolves common network-related problems. Employees in this position manage, maintain, and implement corrective actions to complex infrastructure issues as well as conduct daily operations; design and implement infrastructure solutions; and plan and manage projects.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate in the Sr. Network Analyst position will possess the knowledge of computer hardware and software; Network infrastructure (Juniper); Firewall technologies (Palo Alto); Monitor network performance and integrity; Maintain complete technical documentation; Collaborate with team on the performance, security, reliability and scalability of the network; Advanced routing & switching protocols and maintenance, as well as appropriate configuration issues relative to multi-protocol environments. A successful candidate for this position will have the skills to design, configure and implement network technology, provide appropriate customer service under tight deadlines, provide timely and accurate information with team members and business process teams and effectively collaborate with other network support teams. In this position the ideal candidate will read, interpret, and apply technical information from resource manuals, troubleshoot, identify and resolve complex networking issues, provide comprehensive input on the design and configuration of the enterprise network and research computer trends and make recommendations for future system changes.

- A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business administration, or related field; AND four (4) years of experience providing professional level information technology analysis and support; OR
- An Associate's Degree in computer science, business administration, or related field; AND six (6) years of experience providing professional level information technology analysis and support; OR
- Eight (8) years of experience providing professional level information technology analysis and support.

- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)
- JNCIP-ENT (Juniper Enterprise Routing and Switching)
