Summary of Duties:
The Executive Assistant serves as the principal, administrative support to the Washington State University Board of Regents.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of university affairs and operations to help fulfill the institutional goals and priorities of the Board of Regents.
Responsibilities include: planning for, managing, overseeing the meetings of the Board of Regents and its Committees; serving as the recorder for all meetings and ensuring proper handling of official Board records; serving as a liaison to the Board and as an information source on Board matters to the campus and external communities; anticipating and responding to all requests from Board members to facilitate their duties and interests as Regents; and managing Board office operations.
The Executive Assistant reports within the Office of the President of WSU, with a secondary reporting relationship to the Chair of the Board of Regents.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience directly related to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Some positions may require an advanced degree as determined by specific position requirements.

Experience providing executive level administrative support or experience working with boards and committees preferably in a flexible environment characterized by changing leadership.

Advanced verbal and written communication skills.

Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and Adobe Pro software.

Proven experience in exercising independent judgment and diplomacy.
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience with policy issues and confidential, sensitive information.

Experience managing complex projects preferably in a challenging, high volume setting where deadlines and priorities change.

Experience facilitating virtual and hybrid meetings and using various virtual meeting software such as Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams.

Experience maintaining websites.

Monthly Salary: $5,000.00 - $7,916.67
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
