Summary of Duties:
Duties include managing the day-to-day financial functions of the OVP GEAR UP program; providing supervision to fiscal employees; developing and managing operational budgets, fiscal analysis, grant and contract budgets, assisting in short and long-term contingent planning efforts; facilities and resource management, coordination of contracts and grants, and implementation of operational policies and procedures; ensuring fiscal practices are in conformance with WSU regulations and policies; interpreting University and departmental policies, and advising staff of policy provisions. The position will provide fiscal policy and process and post-award training to current fiscal staff. The position will also provide pre-award consultation and management support on a project basis.
This position may be available for remote/hybrid work.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and two (2) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience providing fiscal management of private, state, and federal pre- and post-grant awards in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated experience managing fiscal operations.
- Experience with process improvement and fiscal staff supervision.
- Salary commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 OR applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
