What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Service Representative position at Washington Trust Bank?

This position embodies the WTB culture by focusing on the customer experience in generating, retaining and expanding customer relationships using appropriate sales and customer service strategies.

Overview:

Provides professional financial advice, guidance and solutions to customer inquiries and problems along with proficiency in the regulatory issues as they apply to this position. Accurately and efficiently opens all branch related products for customers.

Responsibilities may include administrative duties, maintenance of accounts, branch audits and teller duties. Must be proficient in bank products, sales and service skills, and regulatory issues as they apply to this position. Regular, reliable attendance required.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently sell appropriate products and services outside the branch environment
  • Related retail or sales experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize & handle multiple tasks with accurate attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Proficient with computer applications and financial calculations.
  • Required to maintain the security and confidentiality of Bank and customer information.
  • Completion of appropriate training.
  • Works with other bank personnel to proactively meet customer needs in an efficient manner across department lines.
  • May perform teller duties to support the needs of the branch.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while assisting and achieving service expectations.
