What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Waste Connections?
Groot, Inc., a WasteConnections company, has an immediate opening for aTruck Driverto join our team inRound Lake Park, IL.
Our Truck Driver will work directly with the Operations Supervisor to ensure safe and proper garbage removal on assigned route then deliver to the appropriate transfer station or landfill. We seek individuals with a leadership mentality and desire to grow with promotional opportunities in this role.

Pay rate: $30.00/hr plus approximately 10 or so hours of overtime weekly (overtime is time and a half after 40).
Schedule:5:00 am start time averaging approximately 10-11 hours/day. Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dumps all containers and leaves the customer location clean and free of debris.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections of assigned truck.
- Follows route assignments and completes all documentation when checking in at the end of the route.
- Works closely with Operations Supervisor to improve route efficiencies and identify unsafe accounts.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly.
