The Position : We are seeking a Full time Railroad Yard Worker to join ourteam in Frederick, CO.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties*:
- Ability to sort and organize rail cars
- Ability to couple and uncouple cars
- Ability to scale trucks in and out
- Inspecting equipment for safety and maintenance issues
- Ability to operate switches and signals
- Communicate directions and needs with other yard personnel and train crews.
- Assist in loading and unloading freight
- Operate forklifts as needed (experience is a plus)
- Enforce proper housekeeping practices and maintain a clean and organized yard, free from debris, spills, and waste
- Support operators with various tasks as required
- Perform special projects and execute other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft 365
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- MUST BE SELF-MOTIVATED AND HARD WORKING.
- Ability to avoid distractions during working hours, exp: stay off cell phone.
- Must be able to lift 50 LBS, multiple times per day with or without accommodation.
- Must satisfy background check and drug screen criteria.
- Must possess a Valid Driver's License.
