Description
WasteXperts - an on-site Waste and Recycling Facilitator - is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team!
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and processing company payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. We are looking for a highly motivated team-player with a strong attention to detail that is interested in a stable position with a growing company.
Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities:
- Controls expenses and completes payments on time by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Matches Purchase Orders to Vendor Invoices and verifies all manager approvals are acquired
- Establish relationships and maintain files with new and existing vendors
- Verify and investigate any billing discrepancies and past-due amounts by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes and procedures (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Assists Accounts Receivable in reconciling revenue accounts and reporting of month end accruals
- Work collaboratively with other departments and provide clerical support as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; A.A. in Accounting or Business preferred
- 2-3 years of related experience required, with strong bookkeeping and accounting skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and other related software with adaptability to go between multiple programs to complete a task
- Ability to work independently, anticipate work needs, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
