Job Description

(Non-Exempt)

Summary of Position

The Warehouse Employee position is an hourly position and provides support to other Warehouse Employees as well as to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager. Warehouse Employees are responsible for ensuring Water Tech, Inc., and all its divisions comply with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations while fulfilling daily warehouse responsibilities.

All Warehouse Employees work in conjunction with all levels of management and employees.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge, embrace, and apply all attributes to be a successful, values-driven, informed, and passionate team member as described in the Water Tech, Inc. Culture Guide.
  • Drive best practices in all areas of responsibility.
  • Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations, and prep for shipping.
  • Adhere to shipping and receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures.
  • Loading and unloading of chemicals and supplies, ensuring proper handling while using the required PPE for each product/procedure.
  • Maintain clean and safe procedures in the warehouse and work in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Safely move product and inventory utilizing a forklift.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Report damaged or spilled inventory to Warehouse Supervisor and Safety Department.
  • Report defective materials, equipment or questionable conditions to the department supervisor and Safety Department.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment (including forklifts) in a clean and orderly condition and follow company mandatory safety regulations.
  • Conduct cycle counts of inventory.
  • Perform related duties as required by supervision.
  • Ability to take necessary steps to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Participate in manufacturing meetings to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities.
  • Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and employees.
  • Special projects as required by management team.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of operating warehouse equipment and machinery, including safety measures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a discussion within any setting.
  • Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and types of chemical labeling.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both written and oral) and maintain working relationships with employees, engineers, professional consultants, and sub-contractors.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing information.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
  • Maintain the production pace of other team members.
  • Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklift.


Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience:
    • Strong knowledge of warehouse functions.
    • One (1) year warehouse experience.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State OSHA regulations.
  • Forklift experience.


Physical Abilities

  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing which permits the employee to communicate effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Sufficient vision which permits the employee to inspect site operations and activities and operate equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity which permits the employee to operate equipment, including computerized equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Sufficient personal mobility which permits the employee to inspect site operations, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, bend at the waist, and be able to walk and/or maneuver up and down stairs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times with or without assistance of others, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Due to the open environment of the warehouse, team leader must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion job-related tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.
