Infusion Technician
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Installation of all flow media, vacuum, feed lines, and bagging material
- Perform startup procedures in preparation for lamination which involves identifying correct molds that are to be infused, locate materials and kits.
- Work with various resins, fiberglass materials, and structural adhesives.
- Work with the vacuum infusion process.
- Troubleshoot errors in the infusion process and uncover any possible leaks.
- Run and maintain the infusion pump.
- Laminate layers of fiberglass on molds by hand, roller, and brush working material into shape, removing air and smoothing surfaces.
- Apply bonding and structural stiffening materials according to blueprints and work instructions.
- Debag and prepare for secondary bonding.
- Follow housekeeping and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Should be able to use a variety of hand tools, razors, knives, scissors, power tools, and overhead hoists.
- Should be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
- Should be able to work a 10-hour shift standing, bending, and lifting.
- Should be able to work in a fast paced, noisy environment.
- Have the flexibility to work overtime both planned and unplanned to meet company goals!
- Should have strong attention to detail.
- Should be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
- Should be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, include respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits.
- Should follow all safety standards and procedures.
- Should adhere to all quality standards and adhere to new standards as processes evolve.
- Should demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience.
- Should be able to work well with teams and in close proximity to each other.
- Should be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
- Skills in Fiberglass and resin preferred.
Shift:
Day Shift: 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Monday - Friday
While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
