Waters-ERA is currently leading a search for a Chemist who is primarily responsible for product manufacturing, analytical verification, process improvements, technical support, and regulatory compliance for the ERA Organic Product Line.
The Chemist will work closely with the Organic team, Operations, Quality, Technical, and EH&S to ensure the highest level of product quality and value are provided to Waters-ERA customers. The salary for this position is $60,000 and up per year. This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Product Production
- Responsible for manufacturing, analytical verification, and production of the ERA Organic Product Line to meet customer delivery dates.
- Supporting the Environmental Team with process improvements, technical issues, and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead, Planner, and Environmental Team to meet the production schedule.
- Participate in constant improvement and solutions to problems/issues while increasing efficiency.
- Provide guidance to the Organic laboratory staff and train new employees.
- Communicate with customers via technical support calls regarding product use and troubleshooting.
Quality
- Peer review of manufacturing and analytical verification data.
- Ensure that all products and data generated meet Quality Assurance requirements.
- Participate in the execution of validation plans.
- Develop, review, and update SOPs and work instructions.
- B.S./B.A. in chemistry or a related scientific field and 3 years of environmental laboratory related work experience. Similar experience may be considered.
- GC, GC/MS, LC, and/or LC/MS/MS instrumentation experience and knowledge required.
- Microbiology experience a plus.
- Experience with EPA and Standard Methods preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and utilize scientific/statistical methods for troubleshooting.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing change and problem solving.
- Demonstration of ability to work cross functionally across an organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
