Job Summary

The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for ensuring the function of all network requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work under direct supervision and provides support to end users, server or mainframe applications and hardware
  • Interact with network services, software systems engineering and/or applications development to restore services
  • Simulate and recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties 
  • Recommend system modifications to reduce use problems 
  • Develop recommendations and refer complex problems to Leadership 
  • Properly escalate and follow through with issues 
  • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction 
  • Participate in team projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of Help Desk support 
  • Drive products to produce web-based development framework and custom parts 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Associate degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  •  One  year of directly related experience executing cyber security within an DOD environment
  •  Prior experience with IT ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy or HP Service Manager 
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in vulnerability management and support
  • Microsoft/Oracle certification required 
  • Security+ CE Certification is required
  • Active SECRET DoD clearance
