POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Assistant Property Manager you will work as a part of the property management team to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure tenant satisfaction. Responsibilities include oversight of affordable housing properties in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations as established by various regulatory agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advertises and markets availability of apartments as needed
- Selects applicants from waiting list, screens and determines eligibility
- Coordinates move-in and move-out process (shows apartments, prepares leases, performs inspections, assesses damages)
- Coordinates with the Maintenance Department as needed for work orders and unit turnovers.
- Performs inspections of assigned properties, including routine, annual and special inspections
- Handles resident issues, coordinating with other team members as necessary, responding to resident complaints, requests, conflicts, and emergencies.
- Enforces all lease requirements
- Provides tenant notifications for inspections, violations, and evictions
- Prepares a variety of reports for use by staff, board members, and oversight agencies.

- Interpret and understand the working procedures of WHA and implement them effectively.
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously in an accurate, detailed, organized and timely fashion, in an environment with frequent interruptions.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing property management.
- Understand and comply with privacy laws respecting the confidentiality of client information.
