New POSITION : Assembler

GRADE : N / A SHIFT : Day Shift

REPORTS TO : Assembly Team Leader DIRECT REPORTS : None

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operate production machines and equipment within acceptable practice.
• Meets established production standards.
• Make machine set-ups as requested.
• Perform minor maintenance on machines and equipment, including lubrication and minor maintenance checks.
• Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
• Exercise safe working habits while operating machines.
• Accurately report daily activities on work orders, schedules and other media as required.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as, but not limited to forklifts, overhead hoists and cranes, pallet jacks, etc.
• Must understand how to use sales acknowledgments with production work orders.
• Must be able to use a Bill of Materials to build units with proper materials and parts.
• Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited school.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must be able to read and write legibly.
• Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
