Job Title : Pay for Skills Melt & Pour Level 3
Number of Openings : 1
Shift : Third shift, normal scheduled hours 12 : 00 a.m.-10 : 00 a.m.

Department : Melt & Pour
Reports to : Will Cleveland
Pay Type : Hourly
Wage : $ 25.19
Job Description (meant to be a description of basic job tasks, not all inclusive)
Pouring :
Proper weight & clamp placement per size of mold before pouring
Proper inspection of sprue & risers to be correct and any debris removed
Read master for requirements and special instructions
Proper pouring technique (even stream, pour box full, proper height of riser)
Proper gas removal technique as pouring
Placement of hot topping and heat tags after pour
Removal of clamps & weights when cool
Ladle Repair :
Place ladles on preheater and safely light
Knock out, replace, or repair lining in ladles (including safety liner)
Make ceramic pot for hand shank
Furnace Helper :
Use heat log as reference to weigh raw materials, revert & deoxidizers to correct weight (additions included)
Deliver correct charges to correct deck in order of planned pours
Perform Cycle counts
Melt Scheduler :
Set up and organize molds for desired alloy and quantity to be poured
Stamp heat tags with heat number of heat to be poured
Record correct data of what was poured on each heat including pouring temps, test material, serial numbers, samples
Maintain Heat Identification log, ladle log & test bar log
Melting :
Confirm charge materials against heat log
Melt heats of metal per Melting Induction Furnace SOP ME2.0 & alloy procedure for that alloy
Maintain Induction Furnace log
Patch furnace lining as needed
Knock out & reline wet ram & dry vibe furnaces
Patch furnace coil
Maintain furnace installation reports
Replace argon lines as needed
General :
Melt per specific procedures following safe work practices and bringing up quality issues as they arise
Maintain proper housekeeping for work area
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
Education : High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Skills : Requires the use of basic arithmetic functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing along with reading and understanding shop paperwork.
Abilities : Must have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Working conditions : Normal foundry atmosphere.
