This position is responsible for providing a systematic framework to identify and analyze risks, ensure proper internal controls are implemented to mitigate the risks, and oversee processes to monitor and review risks in order to minimize financial loss, reputation damage, and operational disruptions to the credit union. This position is responsible for educating and advising staff members how to identify, assess, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor risks. This position manages the Vendor Risk Management and Business Continuity Plan programs. Maintains credit union risk related documentation which includes the Business Continuity Plan, the Pandemic Plan, the Information Security Manual, the Physical Security Manual, and the Incident Response Plan. The RMO will participate in forums, risk management educational programs and other educational opportunities to stay abreast of emerging issues affecting the credit union industry and advise Management and Credit Union personnel of those emerging risks. This is an exempt position.
