Wausau Supply Co. distributes building materials from the industry’s leading manufacturers to authorized retailers from the Great Lakes to the western Rocky Mountains. Our territory continues to expand as we continuously strive to meet the demands of our customers with eighteen distribution centers and five fabrication and finishing facilities.
Responsibilities
Duties to include, (but not limited to): • Assisting co-workers in the day-to-day operation of the paint lines • Serves as a resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice; has a good mechanical aptitude • Ensures employees follow proper procedures, processes and comply with company protocols and policies by utilizing strong leadership and communication skills • Encourages team effort and supportive attitudes between employees with prior supervisory experience • Executes and trains team on proper use of safety equipment and procedures that may become necessary at any point during the production process & responsible for reporting all incidents that compromise safety or security • Promotes safety awareness through observation, coaching and corrective actions • Ensure employees achieve/perform to daily targets and product outputs • Participates as an active member of the production team and fills in and helps as needed. • Follow and enforce all cleaning procedures on paint lines • Maintain shop cleanliness, implement 5S efforts • Participates in SOP development and execution • Manages daily labor through Kronos software Production Supervisor Demonstrates: • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications• Ability to operate with a sense of urgency• Ability to analyze and solve problems• Strong organizational skills • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Qualifications
Education / Experience: • High school diploma and 3 years leadership related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Working Demands / Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds at those times when assistance is needed on production floor.• Work schedule consists of anticipated 12-hour daily shift
