What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toolmaker/CNC Programmer position at WAUSEON MACHINE AND MFG, INC?
Core Responsibilities:
- Program and machine parts according to blueprints, drawings, and or layouts.
- Set up, operate, and disassemble lathes, mills, and grind machines.
- Verify dimensions, size, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces.
- Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces.
- Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind parts to specifications.
- Complete required inspection sheets and production sheets.
- Clean and deburr parts, work area and machine tools.
- Identify questions or concerns for customers.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on machine tools and diagnose machine tool issues as needed.
Complete high-quality work, on time, and with minimal scrap and rework
