Position Overview:
Wave Broadband is currently searching for a Purchasing Coordinator in Seattle, WA supporting our West Coast Markets. This individual may also sit in Bothell, WA, Bellingham, WA, Portland, OR, Roseville, CA, San Luis Obispo, CA or Concord, CA. This Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the Procurement and Inventory functions of the company, including but not limited to, Purchase Order processing & procurement of materials/equipment/services/etc; maintaining proper levels of all necessary materials and Customer Premise Equipment in each warehouse; and vendor/customer relationships.
The primary position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees the entire Purchase Order process for the West Coast Markets to ensure that all POs are processed in a timely and organized fashion. Working with our vendors to establish needed delivery dates & special requirements and acquiring the best pricing without sacrificing quality.
- Review and approve all purchase order requests via the ReQlogic routing system for the Wave markets. Reviewing usage, budget information, pricing, part numbers, and all other material related criteria.
- Oversees and maintains the appropriate Purchasing modules within the Great Plains system. Verifies all records related to inventory items are updated to date including but not limited to vendor part number and pricing to ensure accurate reporting and processing of materials.
- Manages vendor relationships to ensure the lowest price available for all required products and services. Responsible for tracking of all products being ordered to assure these are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. Communicate any supply chain issues or shipping delays to management and the Wave Markets.
- Establishes/streamlines processes, procedures, job aids, etc. to establish efficiencies and best practices within the Wave purchasing department.
- Builds and maintains relationships with all of Wave's departments, customers, vendors, contractors, etc.
- Assists Purchasing Managers and Supervisors as needed, including but not limited to: open Purchase Orders, confirmation of receipt of goods, PO reconciliations and payment terms.
- Assist AP and Market Requesters to assure the accuracy of Vendor Cards and Supplier information in our Accounts Payable systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three plus years previous telecom purchasing and/or vendor management experience preferred
- Experience in an environment that requires heavy analysis skills
- Excellent communication & people skills
- Ability to organize and maintain consistent process flows
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & databases
- Experience with Great Plains, ReQlogic or other Purchasing software preferred, but not required.
