We’re looking for a Technical Writer to drive high-quality technical documentation and communications for our API integration portal. This portal will serve supplier developers, vendor developers, and Wayfair employees and hold API documentation, integration information, and information on the status and performance of those integrations.
What you’ll do:
- Own all technical documentation for all components of Wayfair’s partner API integration portal, including prop descriptions that are managed in code
- Adapt and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner
- Have editorial oversight of technical aspects of all communications, like release notes
- Update and maintain existing documentation
- Build and follow documentation processes
- Partner with content strategists, product designers, product managers, and engineers to influence a roadmap and product backlog for the API integration portal
- Work with UX research when necessary to better understand the API integrations user
- Provide ongoing qualitative and quantitative measurements of content usage and effectiveness to drive content decisions
- Nurture team growth and culture by supporting engagement programs and contribution efforts
