Job Description: Wayne Metro seeks a lively creative with a passion for social media and content creation. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with the communications department to write, develop, film/create, and publish content across our social media platforms, website, blogs, events, email marketing campaigns, presentations, and more.
Interns Essential Functions:
Write, develop and publish content across our social media platforms, website, blogs, events, email marketing campaigns, and presentations
Consult with department representatives to create marketing plans and strategies for promotion of internal events and programming
Work collaboratively with the graphic designer, social media specialist and communications manager, attending regular internal meetings and providing feedback on projects.
Assist in the development and execution of the Comms Street Team, an internal group with representatives from across the organization training in our communications strategy.
Write clear, engaging and consistent messaging with the organizations target audience in mind
Execute social media strategy and best practices across various social media channels Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, etc.
Qualified candidates:
Obtaining a degree in communications, video production, marketing, or any other related field.
Passionate about content development and social media strategy
Ability to develop and manage creative strategy from start to finish
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a professional office environment with a usually quiet noise level. This is largely a sedentary role and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, frequently use hands and to talk or hear.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/general education degree (GED) OR a combination of education and experience that is similarly equivalent.
Pass Criminal Background check & Drug Screening
Ability to work a hybrid schedule
Minimum Competencies:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, tact, punctuality, and dependability.
Perform work in a manner that upholds Wayne Metro policies and procedures.
