What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Supervisor position at Wayne-Sanderson Farms?
Primary Function
Responsible for cleaning the plant after production has completed daily operations, meeting USDA and Wayne Farms LLC pre-operational performance standards.
Responsibilities and Tasks
1.Removal of all processing residue from equipment and utensils .
2.Sanitizing all equipment after cleaning.
3.Monitoring of Sanitation issues.
4.Assuring plant meets sanitation standards set by plant and USDA.
5.Ensure Sanitation employees are properly trained in all aspects of their jobs.
6.Conduct safety meetings with all Sanitation employees.
7.Administering disciplinary action and counseling of employees.
8. Organization of Sanitation and Support employees to run department efficiently.
9. Complete daily paperwork, including time sheets and daily rosters.
10.Manage relationship with USDA inspectors.
Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience
1.High school or equivalent technical experience.
2.Knowledge of the poultry industry or related field preferred.
3.Excellent communication skills - verbal and written and the ability to do so at all different levels.
4.Ability to plan, organize, effectively direct, assign, and review the activities and duties of Sanitation and Support employees.
5.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and ability.
6.Basic Computer skills.
Preferred Skill Levels and Work Experience
1. Associates degree or equivalent technical experience.
2. 2 or more years of supervisory / management experience.
3. Prior processing plant supervisory experience is desirable.
