Office Assistant Wanted
Summary: The Office Assistant handles functions necessary for keeping administrative areas of the office operating.
Responsibilities Include:
- Be the friendly welcoming face of the practice, checking in patients upon arrival.
- Complete patients’ visits, handling paperwork and collecting the appropriate payment.
- Answer telephones and email in a professional manner.
- Verify insurance coverage (will train).
- Basic bookkeeping (will train).
- Maintain levels of office supplies.
- Update patient files and maintain filing system.
- The position may include other duties as necessary.
Qualification Requirements/Job Specifications:
Education: High school diploma
Work Experience: Previous office and/or customer service experience helpful
Skills:
· Basic PC Computer skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Interest in learning computer software program (will train)
· Interest in learning pre-testing skills (will train)
Physical Requirements:
Working time: 32-35 hours per week/Monday-Friday day shift
Lifting/Carrying: Typically no more than 15 lbs.
