We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to become a part of our dynamic, collaborative, and growing team. You will report directly to the Controller and work with the finance team. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining the inventory system daily, performing daily account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, various monthly close duties, reviewing and analyzing financial reports, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting tasks as assigned.

To be successful as a Senior Accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. A Senior Accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work with little to no supervision, possess excellent verbal communication skills and perform well in a fast-paced growing environment.

WHAT ARE SOME MUST-HAVES TO JOIN THE TEAM?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
• Four plus years of GL experience required, including working knowledge of GAAP.
• Public accounting experience, e.g. Audit and Process Documentation, would be a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Quick learner with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
• Strong “customer service” mindset with an affinity for a ‘follow-up/follow-through’ style.
• Proactive communicator keeping supervisors, other leaders and their respective team updated.
• Strong work ethic, detail oriented, passionate about accounting, pleasant personality.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while achieving department goals and objectives.
• Willingness to work in a Global Company, but with a strong “local” mindset.

THE CORE DUTIES FOR THIS POSITION:

• Report to the Controller and work directly with finance team on month-end close, financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analysis, and training as needed.
• Maintain inventory in Fishbowl daily alongside the Assistant Controller. Act as the main point of contact for all inventory-related requests and issues for all 12 branches.
• Perform account reconciliations for cash disbursement accounts and other financial accounts as requested.
• Review and understand financial reports, e.g. Balance Sheet, Branch P&Ls, etc. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the financials and other information reported internally and externally, communicating timely and effectively on any reporting issues.
• Back up various accounting functions as needed.
• Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures.
• Review and assess department processes and implement recommendations for improvement.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while achieving department goals and objectives.
• Assist as needed with monthly closings for reporting to Anticimex Group.
• External Audit – Assist with external audits as needed.
• Internal Audit – Assist with any internal audits to ensure Anticimex Group compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, M&A and various ad-hoc projects as assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a current Driver’s license
• Will be required to work after office hours at peaks
• Must be available for occasional overnight travel for training
• Must pass employment drug screening
• Must pass criminal background check
