Data Review/Validator

Headquartered in Memphis, TN with 14 full-service agriculture and environmental laboratories throughout the U.S., Waypoint Analytical (WA) has established its agricultural soil labs as the most reliable and timely provider of agricultural soil test data.

The Data Reviewer/Validator will be responsible for performing final review and validation of analytical packages for organic analytical and preparatory methods. You will have the opportunity to partner with knowledgeable laboratory professionals to evaluate data against established data quality objectives.

Responsibilities include:

· Review analytical data from instrumentation (GC, GCMS, HPLC, IC) for accuracy and acceptance against established SOP’s and EPA reference methods

· Review of information/bench data from preparatory methods

· Verify defensibility of data against industry methodologies and standards

· Provide feedback to analysts as well as project managers on data quality

· Identify trends in data to assist with improving data quality

· Provide routine feedback to analytical chemists to improve analytical processes

· Assist with coordinating data needs to meet established data reporting requirements

· Adhere to established Health & Safety protocols

Some of the additional traits our candidate would need to possess include:

· Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field

· Strong data analysis and documentation abilities required

· Thorough understanding of GC, GC/FID, GC/MS, HPLC, IC prescribed methods

· 3 years previous experience working in environmental laboratory preferred

· Exceptional time management and communication skills required

· Strong working knowledge of general laboratory equipment

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
