Wayside Women's Treatment Center provides residential substance use disorder and mental health treatment services for women who face the greatest challenges of achieving long-term sobriety. Residential treatment includes addressing substance use and mental health disorders and wraparound services including housing, health, employment, and parenting.
Wayside Family Treatment Center maintains the family unit by welcoming women who are pregnant and mothers with children into treatment to prevent separation. We receive services for addiction, parenting, understanding how their alcohol or substance use contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences, and improving their relationship skills to ultimately break the generational transmission of risk.
Wayside Wellness Outpatient Center provides outpatient, intensive outpatient, and preventative care of women. Our programming meets the needs of women at any stage of their journey.
What you will do:
- Serve as initial and primary Wayside Recovery Center contact for referents, counties, and third-party payers.
- Oversee a team of Intake Coordinators and Administrative Support.
- Schedule intake interviews, coordinate with clinical staff, describe Wayside Recovery Center program/services to referents and potential clients.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with referents and third-party payers.
- Schedule admissions, prepare client files, maintain current and discharged client list.
- Make sure that all clients have proper medical information on file.
- Maintain accurate, timely and complete records. Ensure that all intake documents are properly filed.
- Maintain on-going communication with referral sources, including letters confirming admit and/or outlining clinical recommendations for alternative placement.
- Assist Treatment Directors, CCO, CAO, and CEO with intake related goals.
- Participate in monthly management team meetings and in annual strategic planning sessions.
- Verify client funding arrangements prior to admission, including county authorizations, contracts for private pays and insurance companies.
- Work closely with Billing Team to obtain insurance authorizations and assist with related admission and treatment billing issues.
- Work with billing teams and clinical teams at each Wayside Recovery Center location on developing and implementing processes surrounding Commercial Policies, including but not limited to: creating payment plans with clients, communicating with clients about billing issues, and collecting co-pays and deductibles.
- Communicate with other team members constructively in order to reduce conflict and enhance the resolution of issues.
- Respect client or patient dignity and confidentiality.
- Role model behavior, which is consistent with and supportive to people in recovery from substance use disorder. Such behavior will include upholding ethical standards of the program, reliable attendance, and an effort to prioritize personal emotional intelligence while in the workplace.
- Assist with improving outcomes, monitoring outcomes and assisting with change projects.
- Manage all record requests for Wayside treatment programs in accordance with HIPAA and C.F.R. 42 standards.
- Become a trainer for CPR and First Aid for all new and current employees.

Compensation: $60-$63
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, day-time hours.

- Must be free problematic substance use for at least two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of one year of related work experience or three or more years of related work experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Strong attention to detail; thinking capabilities and humor are welcome.
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability to be responsive in an effective manner, while maintaining a warm and supportive atmosphere.
- Must be able to pass DHS background study and meet applicable requirements and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to women of diverse economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
- Need current Minnesota driver’s license with good driving record or access to reliable transportation.
- No DWIs in last three years; No more than three moving violations/accidents in past three years.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidate with experience with mental health and trauma-informed care.
- Two or more years of experience in substance use disorder and/or behavioral health field preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates with extensive demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds.
- Two years of experience supervising staff preferred.
- Statute 245G experience or knowledge is helpful.

Salary : $60,000 - $63,000
