Job Title: Facilities Technician
Job-Type: Full Time (260 days)
Reports to: Facilities Manager

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $22.00 DOE
ABOUT WAYSIDE SCHOOLS: Wayside Schools is an open-enrollment, tuition-free Pre-K3-12th grade public charter school network that provides over 2,000 scholars across its three South Austin campuses with a rigorous International Baccalaureate education. J*ob Goal: *The facilities technician is responsible for all aspects of building maintenance and the maintenance of owned facilities and equipment. The primary responsibilities will include the coordination of preventative maintenance for facilities and equipment; operations and equipment; coordinate any remodels or constructions projects, emergency repairs, immediate cleaning if needed and performs other duties as required. The facilities technician provides onsite support across all schools within the Wayside Schools.
Education/Certification/Experience* Qualifications*:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1 years of general maintenance experience in the following areas preferred:
- Construction and finish work
- Minor electrical
- Minor HVAC
- Small engine repair
- Asphalt repair

- Employees must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between campuses.
- Working knowledge and experiences in the following areas: painting, drywall, plumbing, electricity, HVAC, framing, flooring, cement work, wood work, lighting, janitorial
- Other duties as assigned
