Job Description
Waytek is seeking to fill a Level 1 - 2 Help Desk position to perform every day support to our clients' end users. The individual should be hardworking, have the desire to grow their technical skill set, and be dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible support experience. Candidates should be familiar with Windows desktop operating systems, Windows Server operating systems, various desktop applications, and basic networking.
Responsibilities:
- Active Directory User Management.
- Troubleshoot Networking issues
- Set up & troubleshooting of printers and other network devices
- Antivirus Deployment and Management
- Troubleshoot and upgrade Desktop Hardware
- Detailed Documentation on Client's Network Environment and Troubleshooting steps
- Office 365 Management (OWA, Exchange Online, Teams, Ad Sync)
- Maintain Firewalls such as SonicWall, Cisco, and NetGear Pro
- VPN & Remote Desktop Setup
- Inventory Management
- Setup and configure new computers, office phones and related equipment
- Support includes answering questions, troubleshooting issues, helping to instruct clients regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating policy
- Collaborates with other departments and staff when necessary to resolve issues
- Updates tickets with progress or delays and closes tickets with resolution upon confirmed completion
- Verifies suggested solutions effectively resolve the users' problems through verbal or email follow up
- Works on Helpdesk related projects as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
- Perform miscellaneous related duties and other duties as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Great customer communication skills on the phone and in writing.
- 1-2 years of MSP experience preferable or strong technical skills
- Experience with Windows Desktop
- Basic Experience Windows Server
- Basic Understanding of Networking
- Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
- The ability to research an issue and come up with the correct plan of action
- Time Management and Organizational Skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and technical writing skills to provide exceptional customer service
- Must be able to meet deadlines on projects
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, be results-oriented, and be well-organized.
