- What you’ll be doing... This role is to provide USSOCOM with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.
- Interfacing with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed.
- Comprehensively reviewing existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required.
- Establishing systems engineering with a focus on the end-to-end functionality of complex systems.
- Establishing service integration, database structure management, active directory services/DNS, Thin/zero client.
- Providing data storage with expertise in SANs technologies, NAS technologies, iSCSI, and DAS.
- Establishing portal/web services with expertise in the design of medium to large enterprise farms, geographical replication, interfacing with external data sources and integration of third- party add-ons.
- Monitoring PKI/certificate authority.
- Providing CRM.
- Performing disaster recovery and backup/restore.
- Supporting efforts for cybersecurity technology, risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives.
- Maintaining LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.
- Establishing SATCOM with an emphasis on IP satellite.
- Providing support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing, Mobile computing, End Point management, and desktop computing.
- Providing Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or other NSA Capabilities Package.
- Engineering enterprise data, voice, and video networks.
- Establishing and operating network test facilities.
- Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks.
- Working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.
- Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routers.
- Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission Please note this role will be worksite based Monday Through Friday in Tampa, FL.
- What we’re looking for... The Network Engineer must be detail oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software. Must have extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, as well as server and network infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Three or more years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level.
- CCNP Collaboration OR CCNP Data Center OR CCNP Enterprise OR CCNP Security OR CCNP Service Provider OR CCDP OR CCIoT OR Aruba Certified.
- Mobility Professional OR Juniper Networks Certified Specialist certifications.
- Master's degree in a technical field.
